BARCELONA- que guay!!!!!
Friday FEBUARY 26th 2010
Woke up at 7am to take the 8am bus to Barcelona. I know it sounds like a long bus ride, however it wasn’ t that bad- i loved looking out the window to check out spain’s countryside. The only thing i regret was sitting behind this kid, because he was so hungover and kept letting them rip! At some points i thought i was going to die. I learned my lesson. About an hour or so outside barcelona we stopped at a winery called Cordorniu that makes cava (the Spanish term for champagne). It was pretty cool so see. After we hoped back on the bus to heading to Barcelona. When we arrived, the first thing i wanted to do was meet up with ELISE! However, has to get situated with the hotel etc… We tried to go to the Picasso museum, however for some reason they wouldn’t let us enter, so we had to coem back tomorrow. I walked around the sitting checking it all out- it was huge- full of life. After me and my buddy tyler went to buys some goodies to last us the weekend- VODKA and a baguette and turkey (STANDARD yet classy?). Cleaned up at hotel and rested. We started getting ready around 10, and then headed out after some “PRE_ING”. We went to this bar/ warehouse called “black goat”- it was so cool. It was tehre were i met my love, Elise aka EDUWB. When i saw her i screamed and ran towards her- it was so exciting to finally see her and IN SPAIN!!!! i got emotional adn started crying, however i think it was a side effect of the VODKA( they dont warn you on the back of the vodka bottles as a side effects-SWEAR). We caught up and chatted. After we headed to this CRAZY club called “RAZZ TAZZ” where we had boughten tickets to see CROOKERS. It rocked. So many people and so many stages, it made me miss the girls back in BTOWN in the best way. After a long night of loosing each other, drinking and dancing- it was time to head home.BUt i was so satifsfied with my night thus far with Elisey and her great friend Jackie. Elise wanted to take a cab home- but I insisted on the METRO para mí- we don’t have these in ALICANTE ( and its cheap). My tyler magically found me at the metro and so did breck wright. We headed home- great night. Next day i went to the picassso museum, which i fell in love with. When i was young, I took art classes and its funny because many of these art pieces were from Picasso. I was dying seeing them in real life – it was very moving/neat. Also on saturday we saw a lot of Guadi’s work aroudn the city.MUY GUAY
Saturday night was EPIC- We went to a BArcelona Fútbol game. It was so much fun, and so cultural. Fútbol here is like a religion. Seeing the stadium filled with thousands of screaming fans was unforgettable, i loved every min. of it. Definitely one of the coolest things thus far. I was beside myself.
Next day, off we went back to ALICANTE- school was canceled, so i was pumped because my friends were coming into town from ITALIA!!!! ❤

I know it has been a month too long.. and I have not updated in awhile- but dont worry HERE COMES THE UPDATES (rest of february hasta TODAY) 🙂

How to BLOW DRY your hair the Alicantina “GREEN” way
Here in Alicate we are all about “saving energy”, some people argue that its not to be “green”, however I’ve come to realize that there just way ahead of our times. 3 min showers, no heaters, little to no lighting- THEY REALLY ARE ON TOP OF IT!
Anyways, Here I have another “GREEN” tip to help all you ALICANTINAS blow dry you hair! You might ask yourself, how do you blow dry you hair in a “GREEN” way. EASY! Below is a steph by step process on how you can get that hair dry in no time.
WHAT YOU NEED: 1. a towel 2. and a cold room
STEP 1: after your 3 min shower take your towel and wrap it around your head
STEP 2: Bend over and use all your strength and shake the towel all over your head. Step 2 is actually really benefical, not only will it increase your upper arm strength but also it gets your blood flowing and is a great way to stay warm in your room!
STEP 3: Keep shaking
STEP 4: Keep shaking the towel all around your hair, for those hard to reach places, roll the towel in a tubular shape and really Shake! SHAKE SHAK SHAKE and feel the BURN!
STEP 5: Follow steps 2-3 untill you hair seems dry.
WARNING: If you if your head (or even your arms) begin to hurt- STOP- If you begin to become light headed from fliping upside to dry your hair-STOP-you never want to hurt yourself during this process, its only to benefit you in a “Green” way.
